After several tussles between the Malagasy government and the World Health Organization, the international health body finally come to terms with Madagascar over the trending Coranavirus remedy fabricated in Madagascar from artemesia.
It can be recalled that the the organization had not been in line with the remedy as it strongly believed that the touted remedy isn’t scientifically proven to be reliable.
After administering to sick patients in his country and confirmed effective, Malagasy president Andre Rajoelina 45 stood his grounds with the believe that COVID organics is the solution
In a phone call confirmed on Twitter by Malagasy president with the head of the UN, the World Health Organization (WHO) commended Madagascar’s efforts against the coronavirus pandemic.
The confirmation came on Wednesday May 20, 2020, when President Andry Rajoelina took to Twitter to say he had a successful talk with Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and that the WHO will sign a confidentiality clause on the formulation of COVID Organics (CVO) – an herbal beverage Rajoelina has claimed could prevent or cure the virus – and will support clinical observations in Africa. His comments came a few days after WHO’s Africa head said they are in touch with Madagascar over CVO.
Madagascar which is an Island in the Indian Ocean has so far confirmed 371 COVID-19 cases, recording two deaths just recently and 131 recoveries, according to data compiled by the US’ John Hopkins University.
The nation and WHO have reached an agreement and the Malagasy government have accepted the challenge to sign the Confidentiality clause by sending some samples for examination.
Madagascar has sent CVO to some African countries including Comoros, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Niger, Tanzania, Nigeria, Senegal, and Chad. They are now looking forward to sending the CVO to Haiti and other scientific bodies.
