Hello Jemnites! We are on week two of Fashion Week 237 (#fashionweek237) and this week’s feature model (and Woman Crush) is a cool lady named Kathy Mingele! Kathy in my opinion is a rare and very unique breed of a model. Her unique style and unisex look has earned her the title of “The Cameroonian Androgenous Model”! She is definately one of a kind and is breaking boudaries in the Cameroonian Fashion and Modeling Industry with her versatile look and style.
She has been seen modeling both on and off the runways for various African designers and has been photographed by some of Cameroon’s top photographers such as William Nsai and Alain Ngann to name a few. Therefore, it is not surprising that she was nominated and WON the “Meilleur Mannequin Africain 2014-2015” (translated as the “Best African Fashion Model 2014-2015” CAR Fashion Awards. With a mix of feminity, tomboyish and edginess, Kathy Mingele is effortlessly a force to reckon with in the Cameroonian Fashion Industry and one to definately be on the look out for. This is why she is our Woman Crush Wednesday choice of the day! xoxo…ME
