American-Jamaican singer, Sean Kingston rose to prominence in the early 2000s, with his hit song “Beautiful Girls” which didn’t only give him popularity but earned him a No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
There may be a few people who would admit to not knowing how good of a singer he was when he came into the spotlight back in the early 2000s but as years went by, Sean Kingston’s career began to go downhill following a series of life threatening events.
In 2011, the singer got into a serious jet ski accident that almost took his life. He was jet skiing with an unnamed female friend and what was supposed to be a fun outing, became a nightmare when Sean Kingston crashed into a small bridge. He was later taken to the hospital where he fought for his life and ended up having open-heart surgery which ended up being successful. Sean Kingston was later charged with “careless operation in an accident“ by the authorities and received a small fine of $180.
While Sean Kingston was gradually making his return back into the music scene, to do what he loved doing best, there was still more drama in the pipeline as the singer was attacked in a nightclub where he allegedly lost an expensive chain worth $300,000. It was revealed that the chain was never retrieved.
However, rumors state that The Game accused Meek Mill of snitching because of the investigation into the robbery ,as both The Game and Meek Mill were present at the nightclub the night Sean Kingston was attacked. It is believed that The Game thinks Meek Mill informed Sean Kingston’s people that The Game or someone in his crew was involved in the theft of Sean Kingston’s $300,000 expensive chain.
Despite all the drama in Sean Kingston’s life, he was also accused of assaulting and pulling a gun on his videographer at his home, but charges were later dropped as a representative for Sean Kingston stated the accusations were false and the videographer has since been terminated and had chosen to seek his five minutes of fame.
Sean Kingston may not be as popular as he was in the early 2000’s, but he is back to doing what he loves most which is music. Regardless of the drama he has faced, he still remains a legend in the music industry with a plethora of timeless classics.
