This year’s Met Gala honors the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. A-listers on the red carpet are being encouraged to dress “in honor of Karl,” and inside, guests will get a first glimpse at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s new exhibition, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” exploring his work at fashion houses such as Chanel, Fendi, Chloé, and more.
Spotted leaving a restaurant last night, Rihanna just so happened to be wearing pieces from Chanel’s fall 1994 collection, designed by Lagerfeld himself. She wore Chanel’s cropped faux-fur jacket (in black and white, Lagerfeld’s signature combo!) and kitschy “CC” logo sunglasses, which can be yours for over $3,400 on 1stDibs.
