Berthold Kobby Winkler, popular known as Wode Maya, is a renowned Ghanaian YouTuber, known for his phenomenal works across the African continent and the globe at large. He’s listed among the most popular African Vloggers.
On March 3, 2024 the digital media influencer will turn 34, and he’ll surely be one of the most-fulfilled Africans of his generation, given his positive contributions to exposure of the African continent.
Happily married to his better half – Miss Trudy, they have put hands on deck to explore the unexplored parts of the world together.

Wode Maya, besides being a Youtuber and Vlogger, is a certified Aeronautical Engineer, with a degree from the Shenyang Aerospace University in China.
The YouTube phenom, has been active since 2013, and over the years he has amassed an unthinkable audience and community both online and offline. In 2019, he hit his first major milestone on YouTube, garnering over 100,000 subscribers. Fast forward to 2021, the subscriber had exponentially increased from 100,000 to 1,000,000.
In February 2022, he won the Online Creator Of The Year at the Entertainment Achievement Awards. He has over 208 million, overall Youtube views and currently has 1.5 million subscribers in total.
Maya’s wife’s YouTube channel currently has over 412,000 subscribers. Both have been cashing out endlessly and touring the world together.
He’s amongst the most-traveled Ghanaian youths, thanks to his passion for touristic vlogging and content creation. He’s currently in Guyana (at the time of this article), doing more cultural.
His philanthropic gestures can’t be undermined. Maya donated $10,000 for a dumpsite to be transformed into a park after being inspired by a man in Kwahu.
In 2021, he also raised $10,000 to help fund the education of over 100 kids.
In addition to some of his achievements, he was one of the YouTubers to be invited to the 2023 Munich Security conference. Not forgetting that he was one of the six prominent YouTubers from across to the globe invited to cover the Economic World Forum in 2023.
Wodemaya, has also built an influential arm on Facebook. He officially hit 1,000,000 Facebook followers in the last days of 2023. The Ghanaian is also known for his generosity, always giving back to his followers through giveaways and surprisingly visiting some of his prominent supporters.
There’s no way a conversation can be going on about transformational African youths without mentioning the likes of Wode Maya who has inspired an uncountable number of modern day vloggers and content creators.
