Cuban-American singer Christina Milan narrates how she met her man, M. Pokora in France eight years ago, while dancing at a restaurant with her friends. The 43-year-old mother of three while talking with fellow singer and TV host Jeniffer Hudson, talked about the importance of prayer and how it helped her locate the right person. She details that she had given up on dating and was just focusing on her daughter at the time even if she had her doors open for another trial.
“I was tired of the dating scene, but I was praying about it. When they say prayers are real, prayer is real. I prayed, I made some sacrifices, I spoke to God, and said lord I’m just going to give all my time to my daughter, you’ve been the man in our lives. I’m not forcing it, but the time comes, allow me the opportunity to see it. I mean, I was in France, dancing away at a restaurant, and this host came over, and he was trying to introduce us, and at first, we just kept saying no. I didn’t know what he looked like. I just knew it was just another pop star, a French pop star. And finally, at one point, and I said, I’m having fun with my friends at one point, I’m just, like, dancing on the tables.There’s a restaurant where you dance on the tables. And he happened to pass by as I’m coming down, and I was like, whew. And then the host came over and put us together, and I was like, oh, hold on. Oh, really? Oh, my gosh. Crystal blue eyes and I’ve never seen more than anything. It was that. But, you know, it was when he left the table, I got his number.” – Christina Milan
Christina Milan and M. Pokora have been together for eight years now, and have two children together, plus Christina’s first child who’s 14.
