Tanzanian President Cancels Independence Day And Diverts Funds To Build Schools

Tanzanian President, Samia Hassan has canceled this year’s independence day which was scheduled for Friday and the funds that were supposed to be used to celebrate this day have been spared for the construction and building of dormitories in the country.
The budget that has been spared is approximately $445,000. According to Hassan, there’s no need for such extravagant spending when there are projects to be realized.
Samia Hassan who is the country’s first female president has ordered eight dormitory schools to be built for children with special needs.
