Yesterday on Twitter, the African Music Awards (AFRIMA) was on a Twitter roll posting its music nominations all day in many different categories. What was clearly missing was the lack of order in which they were Tweeting making it hard to know who was really nominated in respective categories without having to go to their official website www.afrima.org.
What was also clearly missing was the blacklisting of Cameroonian artists in the nominations! Although I do not agree with all the artists who were nominated in their respective categories, I am ecstatic that my favorite Cameroonian artists like Charlotte Dipanda, Daphne, Vumomse, Stanley Enow and even Prince Eyango were all nominated. Charlotte Dipanda is nominated for Artist of the Year (a nomination that is very deserving of her). Lets go Team 237 and start voting for your favorite Cameroonian artist who has been nominated!
