In this edition of Gospel Minister’s Across Africa, we will take a quick “flight” to Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Cameroon, in search of Africa’s finest gospel ministers, spreading the the word of God through their music.
1. Ks Bloom:
Born and raised in Ivory Coast, KS Bloom is one of the hottest names in African Gospel in recent time. Though the 26-years-old Ivorian is a complete artist/musician, it is marvelous how his genre of music (Gospel Rap) has been well received so much so that he recently became one of the most talked-about gospel singers in the continent. With an 11-year musical career, KS Bloom’s journey to becoming who he is today, will baffle you.
In case you didn’t know, he became a Christian and one who gave his life for the gospel in 2017, and in just five years, he’s currently the most-streamed Ivorian Gospel singer and rapper in 2023. Although the rapper only has one album to his name, called “Allmez La Lumiére”, his social media following is insane, as well as his numbers across online stores. So far, one of his biggest singles remains “C’est Dieu”.

2. Judikay:
Judith Kanayo who goes by the professional name, Judikay, has been one of the sweetest names in the contemporary gospel industry in the past few years. The Nigerian singer who is signed to Eezee Conceptz has had an awesome career as a worshiper and performer so far. With towering singles like “More Than Gold”, her streaming numbers are impeccable, same with her airplay. In 2019, she unleashed her debut studio album titled “Man of Galilee”, an album that has set her standards really higher than she would imagine upon its release.

3. Indira Baboke:
Indira Baboke is a young Cameroonian gospel sensation, who decided to use her talents to glorify the goodness of God via her music. With a career that has ran impressively for over a decade, Indira us without doubt, the most followed and the most streamed Cameroonian female gospel singer. The young star, who is rounding up with her medical studies, has been able to hold it down creatively with at least four studio albums between 2009-2023.
She is one of the most, if not the most decorated gospel minister from Cameroon, and it is imperative to highlight the singer’s distinctive work, as her contribution to putting Cameroon on the map with her voice has been consistent. With albums like: Quelle Joie (2009), Consécration (2012), Le Surnaturel (2016) and Souffle Nouveau (2020), her discography is sumptuously commendable.
