In March, rapper turned Afrobeats artist,Stanley Enow, won his second international award in the UK when he outshined the likes of Davido in the category to bring the Urban African Awards home.
Dating back to 2014, he set the records straight as he became the first Cameroonian to win in the Best New Act category at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards in South Africa, beating the likes of Burna Boy.
Since then, Enow has been consistently dropping back-to-back records. With a couple of albums under his belt, the Motherland singer is looking to add to his discography as he plans to release an EP in the weeks or months ahead.
Following the singer’s release of “Take ova“, his latest tune off his upcoming EP (African Gentleman), it is definitely “takeover” season and this is not coming without new additives and rebranding. For African Gentleman, the rapper opted for an Afrobeats blend, which might have been the magic touch needed to connect with a Nigerian audience. If this was intentional, he might have gotten what he wanted; to infiltrate into the Nigerian market with a seemingly well received single by Nigerians.
Stanley Enow’s future plans are nothing short of ambitious. In fact, they are Grammy-studded and the African Gentleman will stop at nothing until he is where he wants to be. His track “African Gentleman” communicates confidence, pride and affirmation of a young African who is certain that no matter the challenges faces, he will reap from the fruits of his labor and so will you.
The song was very well received as its message resonated with many, particularly with the African youth who could relate to the struggles and hardships they face daily in the African continent. The song just like his hit song “Hein Père“, tells the story of a boy from Bafoussam, Cameroon who is set for success regardless of anything that might be a hindrance.
One thing is clear in that when Stanley Enow makes a song that resonates with the youth and with a message of making it in life no matter what, it tends to be hit.

Stanley Enow recently became a Grammy Recording Academy member, and in just a matter of time before we witness some exciting things from him. His new project has a couple of collaborations as well as some contributing writers, a sign that he paid attention to observations and recommendations from man of his fans and music critics that he needs to work with new songwriters.
