We just kicked-off a new month and given that it’s only February 2022 the buildup in the music scene is nothing short of admirable. The year came with a scintillating spark of a new breed of what might be the next duo to watch out for.
Ego Pride and Yxng Prido (popularly by their stage duo name as Ego & Pride) for those who know, are two kid rappers, who have always used their school life experiences to freestyle in the early days of 2020 or so… It’s not a crime if you just got to discover them now that they’re in the spotlight, but they’ve been knocking on the door for some time.
Ego Pride formerly known as Naspride, who signed for Tallanga motion pictures TMP and Yxng Prido only has a distribution deal with ATM Entertainment, respectively are friends whose spirits have kept on bringing them together. It was quite shocking to us that both signed for completely two different labels, but a bird eye view would have seen that both were good as a duo.
We’re here and they’re still pairing to do the business. It might just still have been fun, but the whole thing is getting even more serious than they themselves thought. They’re getting love from every angle, but what’s the future?
It would be nice, if they were to follow the footsteps of Ridimz , who of course, don’t get the applause they should, for staying together for these years and still! It appears easier but if both parties can’t kill self interest and make the vision bigger, it will obviously crumble. These two gentlemen have kept it coming, despite all the challenges along the way, they’ve kept lighting the candle.
There’s also a fear that surrounds such talents when they surface, and it is always that most people would just hang around them to tap from the burning flame, while distracting others who have big plans for these talents. Well, we’re tired of seeing these talents come to the spotlight just temporarily and then later disappear.
One thing is certain, the energy and zeal to take their careers to another level is imminent. However, as rappers, you’d not expect it to be all easy per se, but when there’s a will, there’s always a way! MrMccoy – Producer and Dr. Nkeng Stephen have been paying their dues as far these new breed of rappers are concern and you can expect something big in the days ahead.
However, should they have to follow the footsteps of Ridimz, who’re more than just musicians, but producers equally, there’s a need for a calm head. They don’t need to be producers, but the spirit of team work must lead, and they seem to have that.
