“My favorite album is Apollo. When I was making the album I knew it was my one chance to really express myself. Even when i was arranging the songs, myself nd Olamide had an argument and Olamide was like, why 17 songs? And I was like Baddoo, I feel like this is my only one chance to really do what I want on a body of work, before the pressure really sets up, before it gets to the point where they say an album needs to be 10 songs be they can listen to it. I was like, just let me do my wish. It’s such a personal album and it’s an album I keep going back to when I’m in that mood. It’s one album where I was truly honest” – Fireboy said.
After Olamide let him do his thing, the album went on to be a chart topping masterpiece, and bagged awards like: The Headies Award for Best Pop Album, The Headies Award for Album of the Year. The album gained so many accolades. Its been streamed 107.1million times on Boomplay
