Mola Njoh Litumbe died at age 101 today in Douala, Cameroon at the Muna Clinic. He was an activist who fought for the independence of Southern Cameroon long before the “anglophone crises.” Southern Cameroon has lost a very important figure who had its best interest at heart. Many condolences poured on social media after hearing of his death.
According to Cameroon News Agency,
Mr. Simon Munzu, the former United Nations Secretary General’s Deputy Special Representative for Côte d’Ivoire and Mr. Akere Muna, the Chairman of the International Anti-Corruption Conference Council payed tribute to the late statesman on their Facebook and Twitter pages respectively.
