While the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) is currently going on in Cameroon, let’s not forget to celebrate some of our African players who’re saving the generation in one way or the other. Did you know that Wilfred Zaha who plays for Crystal Palace and currently representing his home country Ivory Coast is one of the most charitable soccer players?
- Wilfried Zaha gives one tenth of his salary to charity.
- He paid out of his own pocket to keep Palace’s women’s team going when it struggled with finance.
- He does a lot of work for charities including underprivileged children after he himself was homeless when he was six-years-old.
