KO-C: HIS DREAM, DETERMINATION AND PROCLAMATION ARE THINGS WE CAN’T IGNORE
KO-c is living the dream, his determination and proclamation before now are things we cannot ignore.
“I see my blessings, bolo day and night is not for nothing, le saint ésprit c’est mon voisin ” sings Ko-c in his song “Balance”.
It’s been exactly six years since Ko-c dropped his official single under Rawget Music, which has, since that time, only amassed 29,000 views on YouTube.
Since that time, his musical journey has been an unbelievable one, considering where the singer is today. It is stressful to try to compress his six-year journey in a few lines but the growth has been evidently geometric!
Although he started as a rapper, it is quite interesting to see how he was able to figure out what would easily be commercialized in the music game. Even though he has not remained static, one thing that has remained unchanged, is his affirmation and exhortation in his lyrics.
Ko-c got his big break signing for a record label called Big Dreams Entertainment. A move that completely revolutionized his career forever and ever since then, he was setup to be a serial hitmaker, according to prospects. An element he hasn’t lost out on, judging from his discography!
With a plethora of hit singles like “Balance remix” featuring Tenor, “Bolo C’est Bolo” featuring Fanicko, “Quand J’aurais L’argent”, “La Galère”, “Caleçon” featuring Bikutsi star Coco Argentée, “Caro” featuring Locko”, “Deux Oeufs Spaghetti ” and a host of others, it seems clear that Mr. Njang Collins aka Ko-c is living his dreams!
Having always proclaimed that “there’s was no elevator to success, but hardwork”, we can’t leave out his smart work. It is not always about working hard but working smart and having foresight on where good oppurtunities will arise.
Being conferred as brand ambassador for popular brands like Chill, Express Union, Orange Cameroun, and a whooping 100 million FCFA Ballantine’s Whiskey deal all in the space of 6 years, is just unreal and phenomenal.
From being able to have done a collaboration with Sarkodie, who is someone in the African rap arena he respects, to releasing his first studio album titled Genesis, to creating his own record label, PowerHouse Entertainment, all within the last six years, are enough to conclude that Ko-c whitewashed his 10-year career plan with evident successes.
