Cameroon held its presidential election on October 12, 2025. Since then, there has been silence from the electoral commission. No official results have been announced yet, and many people are wondering what is happening.
President Paul Biya, who is 92 years old, ran for another term. He has been in power since 1982 and was expected by many to win again. But this time, there is a lot of attention on opposition candidate Issa Tchiroma Bakary, who also ran and has claimed that he won the election.
Tchiroma has asked President Biya to accept defeat, but the government has not responded. People across Cameroon are waiting anxiously to know who their next president will be.
International observers have not shared clear updates either. Some reports say the vote counting is still going on, while others believe the results are being delayed.
For now, there is no clear answer. The people of Cameroon are waiting for transparency, peace, and truth.
