We start the second half of the year on a strong note and with a powerful but meaningful message. A message so powerful, it will make those who blame women for getting raped to think again. Starting off the month of July The HotJem joins forces with the creators of the SAY NO TO RAPE Campaign, put together by Ajim Maczy and Ngang Noela, which took off with a video launch in English and French about the negative effects of rape on women. After you watch the video, we hope you will share it with your friends and family and take a stand against rape because rape is one of the worst and appalling acts that women and have always faced over centuries.

To make it worst, most of the people that commit this crime always go free as many rape cases do not get reported for fear of what the family of the victim might say, or the victim might feel it will be hard to convince the police that they were raped if done by a spouse versus it being consensual. We would like to point out that men are also victims of rape but for purposes of this campaign, it focuses on females.
According to the World Population Review,
It is estimated that approximately 35% of women worldwide have experienced some form of sexual harassment in their lifetime. In the majority of countries that have data available on rape report that less than 40% of women who experience sexual violence seek help. Less than 10% seek help from law enforcement.
In a message sent to The HotJem from Ngang Noela , she wrote:
We believe that the major problem with evil is not its presence but mostly the silence that good people like you and me keep and thus making the evil spread and sounds louder.
Rape is one of the most deathly and disgusting thing that women have always faced. Little children and women die and others become affected for life and to make it worst 80% of the people that commit this crime always go free. So we have decided to no longer stay silent and we invite you to help us make this NO to RAPE message get to every corner of the world.
