During the second part of his exclusive interview with Piers Morgan on “Uncensored”, uploaded on Thursday November 18, Cristiano Ronaldo who has been trending for days, revealed that he turned down a contract worth €350 million to join a Saudi Arabian team.
Despite being a cult hero for Premier League giants, Manchester United, the Portuguese captain’s relationship with the club has gone from bad to worse ever since he granted this unprecedented interview which has greatly reduced the teams relevance in the eyes of many fans lately.
Despite revealing deep things about the club and the revealing his feelings of betrayal and disrespect by the club that he has had to endure during his second spell with the club, he says he respects the club and whether or not he’s still going to play for them can only be decided after what would he his last World Cup.
He has also revealed that his last World Cup could mean the end of his career if his country were to win it, though he plans on playing for two more years and ending his career at 40! The famous number 7 player has also revealed that he would want to have dinner with his topnotch competitor, Lionel Messi, and didn’t rule out a chance of playing with the Argentine number 10, who’ll like be playing in his last World Cup as well.
In addition, Ronaldo expresses his love for Arsenal and thinks they should win the League this year should Manchester United miss out (which they normally will anyway).
Is this Ronaldo indirectly turning his attention towards Arsenal? He could as well be joining the gunners this January if a deal is favorable given that he wants to finish his career at a top level, reason why he did not fancy a move to Saudi, as the money isn’t his sole motivation but the passion to remain on top level.
