Patrice Tlhopane Motsepe who has just been elected new President of the Confederation Of African Football, is a South African mining billionaire businessman of Tswana descent. He is the founder and executive chairman of African Rainbow Minerals, which has interests in gold, ferrous metals, base metals, and platinum.
According to Forbes his net worth of $3 billion and was the first African to feature in Forbes list 2008. Football lovers who have called out some inefficiencies in CAF’s organization will have to wait to see what Motsepe’s appointment will bring to CAF and African Football.
